Current thermography certification is written proof of your up-to-date professional infrared qualifications. Ongoing recertification keeps your credentials current and ensures that your thermography qualifications are recognized wherever you go and wherever you work.

All ITC-certified thermographers must complete the following to renew their certification level:

  • Meet continuing education or professional contribution requirements
  • Maintain continued active employment in thermography
  • Demonstrate efforts to keep current on new developments

The ITC quality management system for training, education, and certification of professional users of thermal infrared sensors and systems complies with SS-EN ISO 9001:2008. ITC Germany is a training and an examination center providing infrared thermography accreditation for Level 1, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9712. ITC in the UK is an authorized training organization under BINDT PCN according to ISO 18436-1. The ITC headquarters have been audited as the central body in all of the standards compliance stated above. ITC, its staff, and its partners are active in the development of regional and international standards for the practice of thermography, and the certification of personnel working within thermography.

The ITC business model in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America has been built upon ISO 18436 (Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines – Requirements for training and certification of personnel).
